Ecodeal delivers donation to social support institution

Last Christmas, Ecodeal decided to replace the typical gifts delivery policy to its business partners with the delivery of a gift to a social support institution: the Padre Amadeu Pinto Youth Centre.

Responding to the basic needs of children and adolescents from the social neighbourhoods of Monte de Caparica and Pragal, the Centre was created six years ago and has already changed the lives of young people, especially those from troubled families. For example, in the 2014/2015 academic year, the institution had the support of three teachers. By providing this stable aid to study, the academic achievement of children rose to 93%.

Without a doubt, the academic success of young people is one of the priorities of this Youth Centre. With the motto “Doing good, well done”, the institution includes an area for study, which also hosts sports and recreational activities. The Centre is also responsible for providing daily meals to about 100 children.
In this way, the institution has been able to develop outreach work by increasing the comfort and self-esteem of these children and young people.
